Australian Football is the game for everyone. From NAB AFL Auskick, to Junior footy and beyond, AFL is fun for all. So if you’re new to the game, want to volunteer, play socially, or become the next AFL star, you can find a version of footy that’s right for you!

Age 5-12, Boys & Girls, Non-Contact, All Abilities

NAB AFL Auskick is simply the best introduction for kids into the world of Australian Football. Auskickers run, jump, kick, laugh, express themselves and create their own special moments that just happens to be footy. No matter if you know the game or not, Auskick is inclusive for everyone aged 5-12 at any ability to play.

In weekly session, kids will explore the world of AFL, building football skills and playing in a safe and super fun setting, expect small groups, heaps of games and parent/guardian involvement.

The Season runs from Feb 25th to 29th April 2023

Superstars footy is the next step for boys and girls in prep & year one who have graduated from the NAB AFL Auskick program.

Become a Burleigh Bomber Superstar to further develop your football, social skills and match play in a local club environment before officially joining Footy4Fun (Junior Club Football) in Under 8’s.

Our program runs for 8 weeks, with each 1 hour session incorporating 15 minutes of game-based-skill activities followed by a 6-a-side modified AFL match, played at 4pm on Friday afternoons.

Junior Footy4Fun is the next step for kids who are ready to move on from NAB AFL Auskick or other introductory programs. Playing rules and team numbers are modified so children can continue to develop their skills in an enjoyable and safe atmosphere. Footy4Fun is the perfect environment for kids to have fun learning through play, make new friends and create memories that last a lifetime.

Youth football, boys and girls teams Under 13’s through to U17’s

BOYS

Fun, fast and skillful, Youth Football is a chance for teens to play football with their friends and establish new friendships, with a distinct focus on team building.

Youth Football is more competitive than Junior Football and adopts the full rules of Australian Rules Football to ensure that players are ready to transition to open age football when they reach the appropriate age.

GIRLS

As girls are unable to play in mixed teams from 12 years of age onwards, female only competitions exist in varying age groups in local Community Leagues. Focussed on fun, fitness & friendship, these competitions are managed by local Leagues and are a fantastic place for young female players to continue to learn the skills of the game in a competitive environment.
